Overseas Thais.
Definition:
Thais who have travelled to settle down, performed occupations, got married or studied religions in foreign countries.
Learning Location:
Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, UK., Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Canada, USA., Australia and New Zealand
Activities / Implementation for the Target:

Responsible Units:
Thailand Non-Formal and Informal Education Learning Centres
in various regions around the world as follows:
- 9 learning centres in America
- 18 learning centres in Europe
- 5 learning centres in Asia
- 2 learning centres in Middle East
- 1 learning centre in Africa
- 3 learning centres in Australia
Implementation Results:
In year 2008, the statistics of service recipients was recorded as follows:
- Basic Education
Primary level registered 545 graduated 104
Lower secondary level registered 1,031 graduated 297
Upper secondary level registered 1,075 graduated 657
- Continuing Education registered 2,476
Obstacles:
1. An orientation course, guidelines for providing non-formal education for the overseas Thais have not yet to provide to the learning centres’ personnel.
2. Handbooks, practical guidelines have not been done clearly. They are considered unsuitable to use overseas.
3. Media services are not various and not full circle.
4. There is no systematic follow-up of the implementation results.
